COVID Shield™ is a mobile app developed in Sri Lanka by the Commonwealth Center for Digital Health (CWCDH) in collaboration with the Health Informatics Society of Sri Lanka (HISSL), DevUpLink Pvt Ltd and Analogy Partners supported by Commonwealth Medical Association (CMA), Dialog Axiata PLC and Innovation Quotient (IQ).

The COVID Shield App can help a person keep track of his or her health status and seek medical care early. The App will provide COVID-19 specific advice to the user following a self-health check, which includes an automated and AI driven breathing assessment. The App will also provide the user with up to date information pertaining to the COVID-19 status in Sri Lanka and important health education messages.

In addition to self-health check, the App can also be used to keep track of quarantine processes. A user can enroll into a quarantine programme and the App will guide the person throughout by monitoring the health status. The government or organizations could use the App to monitor the compliance with quarantine processes.

The COVID Shield dashboard available to the health staff will enable rapid response when a user indicates worsening or poor health status. The dashboard will also generate important information to keep track of COVID-19 spread.

The App may be used by individuals to keep track of their health status and by governments, corporates or any organization to provide services to those who are in quarantine and to implement quarantine processes effectively. The CWCDH, HISSL and partners would be happy to lend its assistance in implementing COVID Shield™ both in Sri Lanka and in overseas.
